Fireplaces have always been a symbol of comfort and warmth, a part of the home to gather and cozy up to. In the past 20 years, electric fireplaces have become more commonplace yielding new technologies that come with sounds that ‘snap, crackle, pop’, and flames that reflect the entire light spectrum. Committed to purchasing an electric fireplace, but need guidance on how to choose the perfect electric fireplace for your space? Read on to find the answer to your question.
Features
We’re proud to be the innovative leaders in the electric fireplace space. We analyze what’s been on the market, and apply new, sustainable solutions to old problems, ultimately creating convenient, sleek, modern, and long-lasting products that benefit our customers. So why buy an electric fireplace in the first place?
“You can’t turn on a gas fireplace or a wood fireplace in the middle of the summer, right?” says Director of Sales, Greg Burke, “But you can with an electric fireplace. Just to give ambiance.” This is just one of the many features of our electric fireplaces. All our fireplaces have the option to turn heaters off or on, creating a calming, cozy environment, all-year round.
Another key feature is the wall mount option, a convenient option for many customers. Many of our linear fireplaces can be wall-mounted, making it perfect for temporary spaces like condos and apartments, and “the plug and play” application also makes this option convenient and easy to choose. We sell wall kits to provide a finished look for our electric fireplaces, when used in a wall-mounted application.
Design
All our electric fireplaces, except for the Spectrum Slimline, have PTC ceramic heaters. They are more energy-efficient than traditional heaters, adapting to temperature needs quickly and increasing the flow of electricity, while simultaneously being self-regulated, preventing overheating. Our PTC heaters can exert up to 10,000 BTUs with a dedicated 240 V circuit, creating the ability to heat a room faster than our closest competitors.
Our electric fireplaces utilize LED and LCD technology. LED technology uses reflector spindle rods which rotate and reflect LED lights to emulate flames, whereas LCD utilizes new, innovative digital technology to produce virtual flame patterns, resulting in a realistic flame appearance.
“We make our own flames, all our technology, all on our own,” says Jim Nolton, Director of engineering. All our products are designed and engineered right here in the Phoenix, Arizona.”
